The patient is 70 kg and the surgeon asks, "How many CCs of marcaine can I give?"  The marcaine is 0.25% and has epinephrine.

    Max dose of Bupivacain (Marcaine) is 2.5 mg/kg, with epi it is 3 mg/kg.


    70 kg x 3 mg/kg = 210 mg

    210mg/2.5 mg/mL = 84 mL
